Caminata a Ixchel is a cultural event aimed at recovering and spreading traditions on Cozumel Island, calling for the participation of the local and regional population.
Our goal is to spread the pre-Hispanic cultural richness by reviving the processions to worship the goddess Ixchel, activities that were central to our island in the past and that today are part of our identity as inhabitants of Cozumel. Additionally, we aim to provide space for artisanal, artistic, and cultural expressions, as well as for science and gastronomy.
